1- Cities working to reduce the public health impacts from air pollution. Cities' clean air objectives are either internally funded or funded from an EPA grant. Addressing concerns about air pollution from local industries and transportation can be managed by Transportation Management, Public Works Department, Environmental Services Division etc. Military bases are now focusing on 'clean air" and see themselves as a small city.
2- Industries having to achieve regulatory compliance. Industries's emissions are regulated and more so the emissions of the oil&gas, mining, transportation and construction as it affects the health of the nearby people. They are also pushed toward a net-zero and such a plan means they need accurate data to make decisions. Within a company, you will target an Environment Director, a General Manager Environment and Energy etc.
An ideal rep will sell cloud-based software or systems (e.g. traffic management, surveillance camera) to cities and will understand the budgeting and procurement process of local governments.
The other ideal rep for the industry will sell similar cloud-based software or systems to the oil&gas, mining, transportation and construction companies.
